Most popular game of all time !

#1
Exclamation
There is like 800 Million chess player around the world making it the most popular game ever. This number mean the actual people who play the game we are not comparing here with football fans who watch its games without actually playing it.

however, less than 20k chess titled masters in the world and  like 1500 Grand Master which is highest title chess player can get after several years of hard study and deeply understanding the game. Current world champion is  the Norwegians Legend Magnus Carlsen. I have to say he is the strongest player in the history ever. simply because he come in the time of internet and chess computers (engines) which was not available for old players. For me, my favorite player is the former world champion  Garry Kasparov (quite in 2006 while he ranked 1 in the world!).

I am playing chess since i cant remember may be up to like 25 years! regularly since 15 years! beated some masters before online. my strongest victim and best moment could be when forced known youtuber and national master ChessNetwork (Jerry) to resign in live twitch stream  (2013).

Usually, i play fast chess or what called blitz (3 min) and bullet (1 min). Typical morning for me is to drink my coffee while playing some chess games before doing anything else.

here is Nice game i played week ago with black vs good player +2300 rate ended by his resign due to unavoidable attack

Hope to find any one who play chess here  Smile

I recommended this website to learn basics moves
https://lichess.org/learn#/

After learning moves solve puzzles  its fastest way to improve and learn tactics. Search about chess openings, learn one or 2 as white and same as black. I am sure this way in 1-3 months u will advance from newbie to intermediate level.

If you interested in more first class courses for all levels, you could check https://chess.com

I used to play in my preparatory school and high school. That time I bought a CD of 3D chess game and I still have it. It's a strategic game but the worse thing to happen is when a kid defeats you in public in short time. Thats why I never joined the competetions. Really it's very embarassing

Thats normal  in chess. There is some grand masters nailed the title at age of 12-14.  Another example could be Alireza, he is currently world n2 ranked at age of 18 !  thats mean there is many super players behind and lost against him.

I am dam sure after playing chess for 2 decades, still cant  beat world champion sub 10 old level. But according to Lichess stats i am better than of around 85% of its players (millions)

It's weird to see a little boy with few years in chess game beats a master. that means a talent (Prodigy) not aquired but born with him. You cant beat these kids. and of course they are very few in the world, but they exist.

I found a Masterclass course of Kasparov teaching his gameplay and tactics.
On February 10, 1996, after three hours, world chess champion Garry Kasparov loses the first game of a six-game match against Deep Blue, an IBM computer capable of evaluating 200 million moves per second
. HISTORY WEBSITE

Now with AI it is not possible to beat the machine.

wow 2 decades. Maybe if you read chess books and followed the courses of the master you may get that 90 percent.

I believe geniuses are made, not born. Actually also chess used to prove this theory by Polgar who is chess teacher and Psychologist in the same time. He raised 2 girls  Judit and Zsusan polgar. Judit known as strongest woman player in the history and only woman which can compete and beat world champions! both become grand masters Zsusan is woman world champion while Judit reject to play in woman only championships !

Anyway, there is some level in chess you cant break without study plan. As example player i know dedicated 4 hours a day  for 1 year to study chess (not including playing) he become better 2100 > 2400 (lichess rate) but he still not masters level. he play for club and i guess i can say he is smart at least he was in school and college!

For me i did spent some time on learning and i watch youtube analyzes of top games by masters but to be honest study is boring and i have no tolerance to do it regularly and for long time   Big Grin

I think the only thing that will break that boredom is winning some gold or silver medals or any reward. and of cource encouragement is helping.
Studying outside this atmosphere is so boring and stressful.
I see know why he's good at this craft. Psychology is very handy. it can help to discourage the adversary and destroy his focus with chosen words.
