Suggest Maps for Automix

Hi Guys, you can choose the official map Like : dust2 , inferno , de nuke , de_aztec, de_train , de_tuscan , de_mirage , de_cpl_mill_32 , and iam gonna add de_italy its an official map and good map with my best

I suggest you guys add de_forge. It was played competitively towards the end of the 1.6 big tournament era. Here is an example of a game on it:



I also suggest adding de_lite. This one was also played competitively, and is virtually unknown in Europe. It was somehow big in the States though, being featured in the ESEA games.

The last suggestion that I have is to change the setting of the map vote plugin for it to exclude the last three (or so) played maps from the vote. This will ensure greater variety of maps being played on servers.

Interesting. Half a year after writing that, Lite actually became part of the standard map pool of FastCup matchmaking, replacing Cache.

I still believe you should add it to the servers. It's pretty neat. And so are maps like Cache (css_cache is what FastCup uses), Forge, Russka, Overpass (css_overpass) maybe.

Adding more maps won't do a thing if at the end it's always the largest minority that makes the choice on behalf of everyone.

The voting system has to be changed. Either for something like this or what FastCup has with their Ban / Ban / Ban /Decider system. It works great there. Just look at the level of variety of maps in the games that they were able to achieve.

Even pure random system is probably better than the biggest minority vote.

de_lite, de_forge don't have those problems. There are some areas in css_cache with huge wpoly and epoly, but that's nowhere near the css_overpass level.
