Hi Andreasy,
In 2015 I had serious trouble with running cs 1.6 via steam on my mac.
That's why I published the Crossover crack.
Anyway, since an update of steam in june 2015, cs 1.6 works fine on mac.
If you are a mac user, you can still use Crossover (cracked) for a plenty of Windows applications not supported on mac.

Hi Westcoast, thank you for your reply.
You can try to change this values directly from your local steam on mac :
gl_vsync 0 and m_rawinput 1 and in "Set Launch Options" you can add -nomsaa -nofbo
